The Therapeutic Approach

Let me introduce myself and share what qualifies me to guide you in supporting children affected by trauma and adversity. Here’s a snapshot of my experience, told through some key numbers:

Over the past 30 years, I’ve trained thousands of professionals across six countries and three continents. From the UK (spanning Shetland to Jersey) to Ireland, the U.S., Canada, Australia, and even Russia (during the 1990s), my work has impacted diverse communities around the world.

Why The Therapeutic Approach

At Therapeutic Approach, we understand how challenging it can be to support children who have experienced trauma or adversity. Their behaviors often reflect their inner pain and confusion, and it can feel overwhelming trying to help them. Our video series is designed specifically for parents, teachers, and caregivers who want to offer compassionate and effective support to these children.

Through a series of thoughtfully crafted modules, our training will equip you with the skills to handle difficult behaviors while fostering deeper connections with the children in your care. You’ll learn practical techniques like active listening, behavior management, and therapeutic approaches that help you navigate even the most challenging situations. Our goal is to help you not just manage behavior, but truly understand what a child is going through so that real healing can begin.

By accessing our videos, you are taking an essential step toward creating a safe, supportive environment where children can grow and recover from their past. With our tools and insights, you will be better prepared to prevent outbursts, resolve conflicts, and promote emotional well-being. We invite you to explore Therapeutic Approach and join us in making a lasting difference in the lives of these children.
